Wedding Dress Body Chart Dimension Requirements

Measurement Tips: Achieve The Perfect Fit...

  • Get measured before placing an order with us!.
  • We strongly suggest you have your measurements taken first by a Professional Tailor or Customer Own Measurements.
  • Following Chart Guidelines down below.

 Measurement Requirements:

  • Make sure you take your measurements barefooted.
  • Do not measure over clothing, except undergarments.
  • After placing Wedding, Prom & Evening Gowns, Mother-of-the-bride, Bridesmaid and Flower Girl dresses.
  • Also, any other custom product, from our online store collection.
  • Print out original invoice, type on separate paper or write down on your original invoice (notes box available), but limited word count.
  • Write or type your full body measurements on invoice w/ date-of-purchase displayed.
  • Your personal body detail measurements are a good idea, to have ready in hand, before making your final selection.
  • Write or type all description clear for manufacturer, if we are customizing a fit-to-size or custom color order (only).
  • Customer will provide all body portion size dimensions required.
  • Along with "full body height" (including high heels), 2/3/4/5 "inch height (if available).
  • Specify any important design details or request for gown trail length etc. Get It Right!
  • Keep in mind! Customer is responsible for their own size dimensions for all custom order requests.
  • Along with a signature sign-off, on all custom orders. (no exceptions), before emailing your request back to ContactUs@ailimedesigns.com.
  • Your signature needs to be signed-off, on any custom order, color or size being produced from our store collection.
  • We urge all customers to read carefully or request any cut fabric samples (ahead of placing your final custom order).
  • Ailime Designs store policy information, can be obtained throughout our website information pages.
  • Avoid any mistakes, before your order is placed, even if you have to add extra fabric to problem areas of your body.
  • Assign a tailor to work with you on alterations to sewn perfection.
  • We here at Ailime Designs, want for you get it right and come out a winner with your designer garment (first go-round), and very pleased.
  • All custom orders are final sales and belongs solely to the customer, after dress or product is designed, (using customer own measurements).
  • We here at Ailime Designs, will not be responsible for any size complaints, due to customer presenting their own measurements to our overseas designers/manufacturers.

A-Bust:

  • This is NOT your bra size!
  • Wear an unpadded bra (your dress will have a built-in-bra) in most of your gowns, if not, information will state otherwise in description.
  • Measure across at this point.
  • Keep tape slightly loose, to allow for breathing room.

B-Waist:

  • Bend body to one side to find the natural crease of your waistline.
  • This is the slimmest section, of the waistline.
  • Measure across at this point.
  • Keep tape slightly loose, to allow for breathing room.

C-Hips:

  • Stand with both feet together.
  • Measure around the fullest part of the hips and rear end.
  • Tape should brush across both hipbones.

D-Hollow to Floor:

  • Stand straight with feet together.
  • Measure from the center of your collar bone (hollow) straight down to the floor.

E-Height:

  • Stand straight with  both feet together in place.
  • Begin at the top of the head.
  • Pull tape straight down to the floor.

F-Armhole:

  • This measurement gives you the sizes of the sleeve hole.
  • That you are comfortable wearing.

G-Shoulder-to-Shoulder:

  • Now from the edges of your shoulder socket.
  • Measure all the way over to the same point, on the other shoulder side (along the back section).

H-Arm Length:

  • Should point to wrist arm bent.

I-Armpits:

  • Around arm at fullest part of upper arm.
  • Measurements F-G-H-I is only a must for sleeve style garments.
  • Measurement Requirements: Make sure you take your measurements barefooted (as mentioned up above).
  • Do not measure over clothing, except undergarments.
